How speaking practice differs
Jumpspeak's lessons take about three minutes and always run in the same order: listen, write, speak, then a simulated conversation. There are 1,000+ of them, in levels from beginner to C1 that you can skip between. Its AI Tutor runs roleplays on preset or custom topics, either fully in the new language or in a Bridge mode where you speak your own language and it answers in the new one, and it gives written feedback on grammar, vocabulary and speaking afterwards.
Tooter starts from the conversation. You pick a lifelike AI tutor by language, accent and coaching style, choose a session of 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes, and talk the whole time. Your tutor corrects pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and fluency as you go, at your level, and can explain in your native language when you're stuck. Guided lessons build the phrases you then use in conversation.
What each app costs
Jumpspeak's website offers Premium at $69 for 3 months or $79 for a year, shown as a limited-time offer, and its Google Play listing gives $44.97 a quarter or $79.99 a year. The US App Store lists Premium from $49.99 to $79.99, Premium AI from $49.99 to $179 and Lifetime at $499, without saying how long each lasts. Languages and devices
Jumpspeak's help center lists about 20 languages with one subscription, but its full scripted lessons cover Spanish, French, German, Italian and English, plus Mandarin. Most others, including Japanese, Korean and Russian, are AI Tutor conversations. The app's menus are in English unless you're learning English. It runs on iPhone and Android, with no web version and no offline mode.
