Frases

Los números en frases útiles

  • How much is it?¿Cuánto cuesta?
  • It's five ninety-nine.Cuesta 5.99.

Los precios se leen en dos partes. Completo: five dollars and ninety-nine cents.

  • How old are you?¿Cuántos años tienes?
  • I'm twenty-five years old.Tengo veinticinco años.

Nunca "I have twenty-five years". También basta con I'm twenty-five.

  • My number is 555-0142.Mi número es 555-0142.

Cifra por cifra: five five five, oh one four two.

Errores comunes

  2. Más fácil

Hundred, thousand y million sin -s

Two hundred, five thousand, three million. Solo llevan -s cuando no hay un número delante: hundreds of people (cientos de personas), thousands of years (miles de años).

  3. Requiere práctica

    Thirteen o thirty

Si alguien duda, di las cifras: one three.
